Stereometer VISUS-4D* is a unique computer-based system designed for research, diagnostics and training of stereovision - 3D, and stereoactivity - 4D, in which projection to the future is a must. When applying specific methodologies, VISUS-4D is converted into insight-meter.

Stereovision (stereopsis) is seeing with both eyes, when person sees not only width and height, but depth too, it is called 3D vision. Those who have stereovision, can experience a flat view or 2D vision by covering one eye. 3D view is volumetric, precise, rich; when seeing in 3D, the risk of misfortunes and accidents is decreased and quality of life is increased.

Accurate stereovision is useful in most of the professions (driving, construction, surgery, sports, etc.), and it is necessary in many of them. About 10 percent or 700 million of the world population have insufficient stereovision or are stereo-blind. About 20 percent of world traffic accidents and tens of trillions of dollars per year for eliminating their consequences are related to the lack of stereovision and unawareness of it. Stereometer VISUS-4D allows quick measurement of various parameters of stereovision and stereoactivity (coordinates, distances, movements, etc.) at precision of several percent and one can take it into account and train stereovision and stereoactivity.

Stereometer VISUS-4D allows diagnosing strabismus, monocular vision and training it to achieve stereovision. World research and practice of optometry show that stereovision may be developed not only for children, but also for persons up to 60 years old (Russia, the USA, the USA etc.). Some mechanical devices of similar purpose are known, e.g. prof. Igor Rabichev's binarimeter (Russia) with specific methodology, but because of individual supervision of diagnosing and training of a client, their application is quite expensive and complicated. Stereometer VISUS-4D easily manages it by a computer and software.

Development of stereometer continues and it is increasingly applied for measuring of stereovision and stereoactivity in various areas – reducing the risk of car accidents, in medicine, measuring of stereointeraction among doctors and their assistants, including in Esthetic Dentistry Center VivaDens, etc.

Dr Mecislovas Vrubliauskas and the head of Klaipeda's Vision Development Center – Laima Baranauskiene discuss results of research with VISUS-4D and development of stereometer for diagnosing and training children stereovision.

Stereometer VISUS-4D is easily applied in diagnosing and training of stereovision in children vision development centers. Previous version of stereometer VISUS has been applied in Klaipeda's Vision Development Center RUC (copy) for more than 20 years now. Children like game-like tests and trainings. Since 2013 Dr. M. Vrubliauskas started cooperating with Vision Development Centre in order to improve stereometer and in 2014 he started cooperating with Prof. Igor Rabichev as well.

Everyone should be aware of the values and quality of their stereovision and stereoactivity in order to determine driving quality and profession suitability. Professor I. Rabichev suggests that all professional drivers should go through this testing system. He agrees that VISUS-4D is used for stereovision development and applied and improved for other fields too.

When specific methodologies are applied , stereometer can also be used for measuring interaction of insight and thoughts as well as for insight training. Today it is an integral feature for science, business, life and esoteric worlds. In this way, VISUS-4D transforms into an insight-meter.

It is known that eyes can see better if they are relaxed, however, thoughts always cause tension. That is why thoughts always interfere with vision and can cause mistakes, misfortunes or even accidents. Thus, attempting to work, communicate or observe while tensed lead to reduced sensitivity and exhaustion.

Stereometer-insightmeter VISUS-4D is a new-generation 4D computer-based optometric system enabling to raise the quality of life significantly and transform millions of misfortunes to fortunes.

 

* - VISUS-4D is a new development of stereovision system VISUS created by Dr Mechislovas Vrubliauskas in 1990.

 

One of the client's, RS, review on stereovision training: "At the age of three my left eye was diagnosed with amblyopia (blocked from seeing); visual acuity with glasses: left eye was no more than 0,1 (glass-correction could not improve); right eye was up to 1. I had a left eye surgery at the age of six but it did not restore my eyesight. My left eye remained amblyopic (lazy). I noticed, at the age of 28, that sometimes I can see with my left eye but it causes double-vision which is very uncomfortable. However, this may suggest the possibility to develop stereovision.

"As Dr. M. Vrubliauskas suggested, I have decided to try stereovision training opportunity. Now it is an ongoing process. At the age of 32 I sent Prof. I. Rabichev specifically prepared photographs which he carefully examined and came to a conclusion that preliminary there are certain possibilities to acquire stereovision. Before going to a consultation, I had my vision checked with VISUS-4D and it also showed that there is some sort of stereovision, which seemed strange to me.

"After my consultation and training with binarimeter with Prof. I. Rabichev, I started to understand how to work with both eyes in order to develop stereovision. Sometimes when I was relaxed and using my vision correctly, I would see 3D view. Stereovision tests, with VISUS-4D among them, suggest that stereovision is possible for me under certain simplified circumstances. What is more, after my training with Prof. I. Rabichev double-vision practically disappeared. Stereovision helped to improve my left eye's vision (after a couple of training sessions with binarimeter it improved from 0,8 to 0,16 with glasses). I also do specific eye exercises five to ten minutes in daily life to improve my binocular and stereovision.

"After nine months of training including 15 sessions with Prof. I. Rabichev with his binarimeter and training with VISUS-4D, I can confirm and objective results suggest that stereovision is starting to develop and my left eye's vision with glasses is now 0,24 – 0,28, which is the best I have had in my entire life so far."
